About us
Cabernet is a complex composed of a restaurant, a tavern and a guesthouse, founded on 2nd March 2007. It is situated in the village of Veľké Lovce, near the spa village of Podhájska. Veľké Lovce village lies in Pohronie Hills, you can find the “Dlhý vrch” hill in this area.
The village is surrounded by mixed forest that connects it with the village of Podhájska (Map). Water in Podhájska is very similar to water of the Dead Sea. Temperature and composition of the thermal water have an optimum effect on human skin and diseases of motoric apparatus, respiratory and cordial systems.
We have a small farm, where we keep a female ostrich, sheep, poultry and a dog. The name of the ostrich is Malvina. African ostrich is the largest bird on the world, which can live as long as 70 years. Along to that, we raise a sheep called Marian. Our premises are guarded by a St. Bernard dog called Max.
